Acquisition Specialist – After-School Opportunity
Are you outgoing, dependable, and comfortable talking with new people? Our local State Farm agency is looking for motivated Acquisition Specialists to connect with residents in nearby neighborhoods and help schedule appointments for complimentary insurance cost analyses.
This flexible, entry-level opportunity is ideal for high school students seeking an after-school or Saturday job. No insurance experience or licensing is required. We will provide training, a script, and the materials needed to get started.
Schedule - Choose the days that work best for you within the following available hours:
- Monday–Friday: 4:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- Flexible scheduling based on your availability
- One to two initial training days to practice the outreach script
Compensation:
- $10.00 per hour
- Additional $10 bonus for each person who completes an insurance quote
- Additional $20 bonus for each person who purchases a policy
What You’ll Do:
- Visit assigned neighborhoods within approximately 15 minutes of the office, primarily in the Harleysville area
- Introduce residents to the agency using a friendly, prepared script
- Offer a complimentary cost analysis for auto, home, renters, life, jewelry, umbrella, and other insurance products
- Gather basic information from interested residents, including their name, address, date of birth, and preferred appointment time
- Leave an agency postcard or “Let’s Connect” door hanger when a resident is unavailable
- Accurately track outreach activity and prospective customer information
- Represent the agency professionally and respectfully in the community
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable approaching new people
- Dependable and able to work independently after training
- Professional, respectful, and able to follow an approved script
- Comfortable walking outdoors and moving throughout assigned neighborhoods
- Access to a smartphone with the ability to share location during scheduled shifts
- A reliable way to travel to and from assigned neighborhoods
- No previous sales or insurance experience required
Important Position Details:
This is an independently performed community outreach position. Team members will share their location with the agency during scheduled working hours so the office can confirm they are visiting the correct assigned neighborhoods. Location sharing is only required while actively working.
Acquisition Specialists will schedule appointments and collect quote-request information but will not provide insurance advice or discuss specific coverage recommendations.
This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees.
Compensation: $10.00 per hour
